About Hops for Hope

Triangle Hops for Hope pairs corporate teams with local breweries to create an original, one-of-a-kind cask of beer. The main event is a beer festival that is open to the public, where teams and breweries showcase their creations in an epic showdown for awards and bragging rights. H4H 2017 was on Saturday, September 23 from 2-6 p.m.in the back lot of Raleigh Beer Garden and raised more than $70,000 for Children’s Flight of Hope. H4H 2016 was October 1 at CAM Raleigh and raised more than $45,000 for CFOH.

It was chance that brought the original Hops for Hope event committee together in 2015. A simple conversation about a shared hometown led committee members Jennifer and Pete to renew their interest in connecting with their community and how they could give back. After much brainstorming, they wanted to do something big to help children – they just weren’t sure of the how or what. When Jennifer heard about Children’s Flight of Hope through her work at the Captrust Community Foundation, she knew it would be a perfect fit. She got her workplace involved, as did Pete with Tir na Nog, and the committee continued to grow from there. With only a few months of planning that first year, Hops for Hope was born and raised tens of thousands of dollars for CFOH. The event continues to grow while staying true to its roots as way to get involved with the community, while benefiting even more children in need!
