Fourth Annual Hops for Hope Scheduled for Sept. 22 at Raleigh Beer Garden
Local Breweries Partner with Corporate Teams to Create Original Beer for Event to Benefit Children’s Flight of Hope
Morrisville, N.C. – The fourth annual Triangle Hops for Hope event will take place on Sept. 22, 2018, at the Raleigh Beer Garden. This fundraising event pairs 25 corporate teams from around the Triangle with 25 local breweries to create original beer and raise money for Children’s Flight of Hope (CFOH).
Participants will showcase their creations to hundreds of attendees at an epic beer competition. All proceeds from Triangle Hops for Hope benefit Children’s Flight of Hope, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides air transportation for children across the country to access medical care. Last year’s event raised more than $70,000 for CFOH.
“My team has been involved with Hops for Hope from the beginning and it really is the best beer event of the year. We get to collaborate with great local breweries to produce something truly unique. Working with the brewery is the behind the scenes tour you always wanted. I’m always surprised at how much the team personality influences the beer. Triangle Hops for Hope is open to the public and for a worthy cause, so I invite all my friends and family. The crowd is always fun, you get to hear people discuss all beers, and you’d be amazed at how much energy fills the tent when they announce the fundraising totals. The beer judging is a little nerve-racking and you don’t win every year, but you do get to try every beer from our great brewing community,” said Frank Jackson of Vines Architecture, Team Captain and Event Committee Member.
“Well, it’s an amazing cause to support and you really feel like you’re making a difference with this event. From a small brewery perspective, it is a great way to showcase your quality craft with a fun collaboration. You get your name in front of a lot of people who may not be familiar with your brewery and really get to build a relationship with your team,” said Eric Llyod of Sub Noir Brewing Company, Brewery Participant.
General admission tickets are on sale now at www.trianglehops4hope.org. $25 admission includes unlimited tastings of the 25 unique beers and a wristband for re-entry. The event will take place in the back lot of Raleigh Beer Garden from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, and features live music, photo booth, merchandise for sale, and full bar and food menu.
